More Than Honey

Since the begining of the year it seems that my entire life has revolved around getting on trains!

The silver lineing to this is i finally got around to being able to read More Than Honey, by Markus Imhoff & Claus-Peter Lickfeld.

This is a wonderful book that i would recomend people to read!

Its not one to hold hands, its not one to be a pretty nature book: it’s a grim warning.

What would the world look like without bees? in short, not good!

from bizarre practice in China, where migrant workers on farms pollinate trees by hand: it looks like an absurd, laborious losing battle.

This is a book that challenges you, to look into your food and your enviroment and question what you are doing everyday that buys into this industry that sees these amazing animals as an unlimeted comondity that can be stuck in the back of a truck in their thousands and driven accross the country.

Looking at Colony Collapse Disorder and Africanised bees this book acknowledges the threats that everyday bees are now facing. If you are looking for a book that makes you think, challenges your perceptions and what you though the value of these animals are, this is it!
